Hot Spots for Brunch

Weekends are the time to relax and partake in a leisurely, boozy brunch. Now, you have two more restaurants who have recently added brunch to their offerings, making your options ever so enticing.

Michy’s

(305) 759-2001

Michy’s recently launched a Sunday brunch, that will now take place every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. This a la carte brunch brings comforting breakfast and lunch options to the table, with main entrees ranging in price from $16 – $26.

Highlights on the menu include Buttermilk Fried Chicken on a Waffle Sandwich with cayenne gravy and savory maple syrup; Chimi Marinated Skirt Steak with sunny side up eggs, house fries and bernaise; Orange Scented Ricotta Pancakes with strawberry jam and maple syrup; Brown Sugar & Spice Grilled Prawns; and more.

SUSHISAMBA Coral Gables
Westin Colonnade Hotel
180 Aragon Avenue
Coral Gables, Florida
(305) 448-4990

While it isn’t quite brunch, SUSHISAMBA now offers breakfast options everyday from 7:00 until 11:00 a.m. Chef Brian Nasajon has created an innovative menu complete with both sweet and savory dishes.

Highlights on the menu include: Brazilian Breakfast – eggs any style, pão de jamon y queijo, linguiça, sweet papaya, potato hash; a Power Breakfast complete with quinoa, turkey, tatsoi, tomatoes, onions and peppers, served atop an egg white crepe with avocado puree; Chicha Morada Pancakes with smoked Vermont maple syrup, torched bacon, blackberry compote; and more.

In addition, the restaurant has a unique Juice and Batida bar that allows guests to create their own custom beverage. Guests select a type of water (coconut, cucumber, etc.); seasonal fruit; milk (whole and skim, cashew, almond, etc.); and enhancers (ginger, elderflower nectar, etc.) — and of course these can be spiked with a shot of Cachaça or served without alcohol.
