VieVité Cotes de Provence Rosé – Wine Review

A graceful bottle of pink-hued 2015 VieVité Cotes de Provence Rosé wine arrived from Turquoise Life Beverage Brands for our tasting review.  This was perfect timing as the hot, humid days and warm nights of summer in South Florida will quickly be upon us.  Soon, we will migrate outdoors to catch cooling ocean breezes and sip chilled rosé, while brunching, barbecuing, boating, or just lounging poolside.

VieVité (pronounced Vee-Veetay) is created at Domaine Sainte Marie, a renowned vineyard dating back to the 18th century and known for its Provencal Rosé wine.  Located 14 miles west of Saint Tropez, Domaine Sainte Marie stretches over 100 acres of land; with ample southern exposure and land rich in siliceous soil.

The varietal composition of the rosé is 30% Cinsault, 30% Grenache, 30% Syrah & 10% Carignan.

VieVité Rosé brings an aroma of cherries and strawberries to the nose. On the palate, the wine is fruit-forward; peach, grape and apricot.  The dry rosé has a short sharp finish before completely smoothing out.  While great as a summertime go-to-drink, it will pair wonderfully with our grilled seafood and spicy ethnic South Florida cuisines.

VieVité Rosé received a rating of 90 points from Wine Spectator.

The acclaimed Côtes de Provence region in France has long been known for its exceptional climate, soil and as the world leader in the production of premium rosé wines.  Rosé wine has been gaining in popularity in the U.S. each year, and new rosé drinkers are learning how the macerated skins of red grapes gives rosé its signature hue.

Turquoise Life Beverage Brands offers both VieVité and VieVité Extraordinaire (limited cask) across the United States in fine restaurants & bars, luxury resorts and hotels as well as wine boutiques.
