Where to Celebrate New Year’s Eve 2014

Time is running out to make plans for New Year’s Eve, but if you’ve been slacking, you’re in luck as there are still options available for every price point. 

MIAMI-DADE

Cavalli Miami Restaurant & Lounge, 150 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach (305)695-4191

Ring in the new year at Cavalli Miami Restaurant & Lounge Cavatelli-style. Cavalli will open it”s doors for  special night out, complete with bubbly, mouth-watering food items and great company. The first seating is at 7:00 pm and will feature a la carte Italian menu items. The 2nd seating will be at 10:00 p.m. (tax & gratuity are additional) and will feature a special three-course prix-fixe dinner for $300. At midnight, diners can toast to the new year with Robert Cavalli himself.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve Mad Hatter-style at Oak Tavern in Miami’s Design District. This special Md Hatter’s Ball – based on the Alice in Wonderland theme – is asking diners to come dressed in their wackiest headwear. Cost is $75 (excludes beverages, tax & gratuity) for a 3-course prix-fixe dinner. This meal will begin at 9:00 p.m. and end with a Champagne toast at midnight. While you’re there, enjoy specialty cocktails,  musical sounds by DJ Benton and prizes for the best hats. Reservations are required.

Enjoy a White Truffle prix-fixe dinner menu at Dolce for $150 per person. Chef Paolo Dorigato has created an enticing prix-fixe menu featuring his twist on Italian specialties like Steak Tartare with quail egg & white truffle; Roasted Veal Tenderloin with a twice baked truffle and foie gras potato; and more. This menu is available from Dec. 23-31. Reservations are required on New Year’s Eve.

Haven is hosting an intimate party for NYE. For $100, guests can enjoy a full premium open bar featuring Belvedere Vodka, Don Julio Tequila and Moet Imperial Champagne and passed appetizers by Chef Todd Erickson. The celebration begins at 8:00 p.m. and ends with a Champagne toast at midnight. Dance the night away and when midnight strikes, Haven’s panoramic walls will take you to Times Square. Take a trip to Islamorada and celebrate under the stars. Much like their full moon parties, Pierre’s NYE celebration will boast a fun-filled evening of food, fun & frivolity taking place throughout Pierre’s restaurant, downstairs in the Green Flash Lounge, at the Beach Café and on the sand. The evening will include entertainment by the band Tolliver & Cash, Brazilian Capoeira dancers, a Bahamian Junkanoo band, stilt walkers, fire blowers, acrobats, balloon artists, a firework show at midnight and more. 3030 Ocean will offer a decadent holiday 4-course prix-fixe menu on New Year’s Eve for $110 per prson (exclusive of tax &N gratuity). Think Hiouse-Made lobster ravioli with black truffles, cauliflower and lobster sauce and Roasted Rib-Eye Steak with celery root gratin, charred eggplant, baby collards and a salsa verde. There will be a complimentary Champagne toast at midnight. Reservations are required, as is a credit card. Seating is available from 6:00-10:00 p.m.

III Forks Prime Steakhouse will feature a special holiday a la carte menu —with featured appetizers, entrees like a USDA prime filet mignon with a cold water lobster tail, and sides.

Coco Asian Bistro & Bar will be offering a special a la carte holiday menu – available on both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day from 4:00 -10:30 p.m. Any diner who orders a entree from the special holiday a la carte menu will enjoy a bottle of Piper-Heidieck Champagne (375-mL), gratis. In addition, diners will enjoy live entertainment.  An abbreviated version of the regular menu will also be available.

PALM BEACH

Blue Martini is hosting a New Year’s Eve Casino Royale to ring in 2014. The evening’s events include free casino games, a midnight balloon drop, special prizes and cash. Max’s Grille has an All White Party planned for NYE. Anyone wearing white will enjoy a free Champagne toast at midnight. Stoli will feature an ice luge and Wheel of Fortune game, where attendees can win a variety of prizes include gift cards, no waiting for reservations and more. Enjoy a 5-course prix-fixe NYE menu at Max’s Harvest for $78. Seatings start at 5:00 p.m. and the dinner price incudes a Champagne at midnight and a DJ starting at 10:00 p.m. In addition, more pecans will be offered like a Seafood Plateau for $58 for 2 people or $85 for 4. Ring in the new year at Jazziz Nightlife’s NYE party. Enhoy live entertainment and a 4-douse prix-fixe by Executive Chef Justin Flit. Two seatings are available. the first seating will take place at 7:00 p.m. and will cost $100, while the second seating will take place at 10:00 p.m. and include a Champagne toast at midnight and costs $150 per person. For those not wanting dinner, general admission tickets are available for $25 or $50after 10 :00 p.m.

The Office will be offering a special holiday a la carte menu on New Year’s Eve, in addition to their regular menu to ring in the New Year. Inside you will find, festive holiday decorations, complete with party hats, noisemakers, horns and beaded necklaces for the diners, along with a complimentary Champagne toast at midnight. Regular menu offerings will be available all day, starting at 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m., the holiday a la carte specials will also be offered.

Both restaurants will be open all day on New Year’s Eve. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. From 3:00 p.m. until midnight diners can choose between a special holiday a la carte menu (each restaurant will offer specials unique to the individual restaurants) and the regular a la carte menu. Diners will receive complimentary party hats, blowers and noisemakers, along with a complimentary Champagne toast at midnight.
