The New Flagler Steakhouse

Going to the Breakers is always a memorable experience. This gorgeous oceanfront property has become iconic in Palm Beach — and from the moment you step inside, you will feel like royalty.

HMF has been the buzz lately, but now, the attention moves to Flagler Steakhouse where the interior has been recently renovated and the menu updated.

Adam D. Tihany, a design consultant to Peacock + Lewis, is the one responsible for the interior changes. He has taken the traditional steakhouse feel and has added a contemporary twist. It now has a more youthful vibe, yet keeping the Palm Beach. While the dining room is gorgeous, dining al fresco is my personal favorite, where you will enjoy panoramic views of the golf course.

Along with the renovations in the interior, Executive Chef Anthony Sicignano has updated the menu with the highlight being the Prime Steaks — The Flagler Steakhouse exclusively serves Linz Heritage Angus Prime. While the steaks may be the star here, the seafood entrees, Italian classics and House Specialties that are not to be missed. Flagler Steakhouse uses fresh & local ingredients whenever possible, and you can taste the freshness in every dish.

brdrinkWe were recently invited in and eagerly, we tasted our way through the menu. While everything was solid, there were a few standout dishes. These included the Blue Crab Dumplings served with shaved Reggiano, red pepper butter and truffle oil; the sweet corn and lobster chowder, the rich bowl of chowder came bursting with fresh lobster. Make sure you’re hungry, as this is a very large portion. Other standouts included the Steak au Poivre, perfectly prepared to our liking, and the sides were outstanding. Our favorite — the fresh English peas served with guanciale, cipollini and mint.

If still have room for a sweet something to end the meal, the dessert menu offers select dishes that will make you reminisce about your childhood. Chocolate cake and milk & cookies worked wonders, but our favorite was the Banana Split. This came with scoops of Häagen-Dazs, chocolate sauce & shavings, freshly made whipped cream, cherries and the added touch — crumbles of Heath Bar.
