Devon Seafood + Steak (11715 Sherri Lane, inside The Palms at Town & Country Mall, in Kendall) is scheduled to open on Sat., Jan. 12, 2013. This contemporary American restaurant and lounge — with locations already in Wisconsin, Illinois and Pennsylvania — will feature an affordable menu of prime steaks and seafood by Executive Chef Scott Barrow.
BRIO Tuscan Grille (550 S Rosemary Ave, West Palm Beach) will open a new location in CityPlace in February. This upscale, yet affordable restaurant serves a menu of northern Italian cuisine — steaks, chops, seafood, pastas and flatbreads — and well-known for their $3.95 Tuscan Taster bar menu.
After a slight delay, Smashburger (1729 S Federal Hwy, Boynton Beach) will open on Jan. 9, 2013. Smashburger is the area’s fastest growing “better burger” restaurant featuring burgers — smashed fresh — along with Haagen-Dazs ® shakes, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, salads and regional menu items like the Miami Burger with Grilled Spanish chorizo, frita potatoes, aged Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and spicy chipotle mayo on a Cuban roll.
Mellow Mushroom (700 S Rosemary Ave, Ste. 100, West Palm Beach) will open their newest location on Jan. 14, 2013. Mellow Mushroom features hand-crafted pizzas, funky art and an extensive craft beer list.
Top Chef season three winner, Hung Huynh, and the EMM Group will open up CATCH next week at the James Royal Palm. This relaxed venue features a menu of shareable dishes — raw, rolled, cold, large and simply grilled — combining classic dishes from their New York counterpart combined with South Beach additions.
VooDoo BBQ & Grill (151 N Hiatus Rd, in Pembroke Lakes Square shopping plaza), a quickly expanding BBQ franchise, featuring competitive-style BBQ made with a New Orleans flair will open it’s first South Florida location in Pembroke Pines on Sat., Jan. 13, 2013. To celebrate, VooDoo BBQ will give free barbecue for a year to the first 99 customers who show up on opening day. Doors open at 11:00 am.
