D’Angelo Pizza ▪ Wine Bar ▪ Tapas is Set to Open In Weston

Famed restaurateur Angelo Elia, who you may know from one of the Casa d’Angelo restaurants in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton or at The Atlantis Hotel in Paradise Island — or D’Angelo Trattoria in Delray, is set to open up D’Angelo Pizza ▪ Wine Bar ▪ Tapas in Weston on Monday, January 21, 2013. The focus will be on Tuscan small plates, pizzas and wine served in a modern, yet casual environment. Fresh, seasonal ingredients imported directly from Italy will be the star here.

Expect the menu to focus on small plates ($8-$15) like creamy burrata over arugula and figs and zucchini flowers stuffed with mozzarella; specialty ceviche and carpacci ($11-$14) like polpo (octopus with olives and tomato pesto) and manzo (beef  carpaccio ); specialty salads and soups ($7-$14); authentic Italian pizza ($10-$15) like the Angelo – a white pizza with buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula and shaved Reggiano; pastas ($17-$19); and a delightful menu of desserts.

Angelo has brought on general managers Marco Pistella (formerly of Sundy House) and Antonio Elia (Angelo’s brother) to run the front of the house, while AE Restaurants corporate chef Rickie Piper will oversee the culinary team.

The excitement begins when they open the doors to the public on Monday, January 21, 2013 for lunch and dinner.  D’Angelo Pizza ▪ Wine Bar ▪ Tapas will be located at 1370 Weston Road, in the Country Isle Plaza in Weston, Florida; 954-306-0037
