Get hungry Boynton Beach. You have a new restaurant in town and it’s called Baciami Italiano — and let’s just say there will be a lot of kissing going on.
Baciami, meaning “kiss me” in Italian, opened up in the One Boynton complex (formerly Las Ventanas) just a few weeks ago. It comes from the father and son team of Steven Pellegrino, Sr. and Steven Pellegrino, Jr., who are also behind Prime Steak & Seafood and Il Bacio Restaurant & Night Club in Delray Beach.
Their latest venture, Baciami Italiano, takes things up a notch offering a chic and sophisticated atmosphere; authentic Italian cuisine featuring many of their own family recipes; and space that is perfect for couples looking to go out for date night, families or groups looking for a space to host their larger gatherings (they even have a private room).
In the kitchen, the Pellegrino’s have brought in Executive Chef Anthony Ianniello, a talented culinarian who has been working with the family for the past 18 years — most recently in Rhode Island. Expect a myriad of menu items, highlighting ingredients imported straight from Italy, that include appetizers, salads, wood burning brick oven pizzas (made in an authentic Neapolitan pizza oven), fresh pastas made-to-order, entrees and desserts — including Nicole’s Frappe, a heavenly blend of Belvedere Vodka, Baileys Almande Liqueur and vanilla cream.
Highlights on the menu include the wood burning brick oven pizzas (since these are meant to be eaten immediately, try to forgo the photos — we know, it’s hard); the Grilled Octopus appetizer made with white beans and arugula; a simple bowl of al dente pasta with Anthony’s Sunday Gravy — and for dessert, may we recommend the cannoli or the tiramisu? — whatever you choose, you can’t go wrong here.
If you’re looking for a deal, Baciami Italiano has a few available during the week. First, Happy Hour is available daily at the bar and in the lounge areas from 4-7 p.m. and includes $7.77 food and drink specials. On Wednesdays from 4-10 p.m., it’s Ladie’s Night, meaning ladies can enjoy a glass of wine and a pizza pie for $16, all-inclusive, in the bar & lounge areas.
