Apeiro Kitchen + Bar Kicks Off Lunch Service

Add some punch to your lunch hour and head to Apeiro Kitchen + Bar. This contemporary Mediterranean restaurant, located in the Delray Marketplace, is kicking off lunch service on Thursday, September 24 — and yes, it’s time to get excited.  Executive Chef David Blonsky has taken some of his most popular dinner menus items (like the highly-addictive Bar Harbor Mussels with saffron cream and the Apeiro spreads — trying the pistachio yogurt is a must-do) and made them into lunch-sized portions, which you can now enjoy any time of the day.

Since we’ve had some great experiences at Apeiro, we gladly accepted an invite in to preview their new lunch menu and here were some of our favorites.

gazpacho

There’s gazpacho and then there’s gazpacho — and this one is a star in our book. Enjoy garden-fresh gazpacho served with your choice of ricotta grilled cheese or a simple salad — plus your choice of soda, iced tea or coffee for $10.

Chicken Kale Caesar

So long to boring salads, the Chicken Kale Caesar ($10) at Apeiro is anything but. Fresh kale, oven-dried tomatoes, grilled chicken and caesar dressing tossed with focaccia croutons and parmigiano-reggiano offer an explosion of flavors and textures that make this a perfect option for those seeking a lighter and nutrient-packed lunch.

Forest Mushroom Flatbread

For a crowd-pleasing dish, Apeiro offers a selection of flatbreads on their new lunch menu and all are priced between $10-$12. Options range from a Grilled Vegetable Flatbread to a Spiced Lamb version made with roasted tomato sauce  and smoked mozzarella, but the Forest Mushroom Flatbread with the woodsy mushrooms, comforting parmesan cream and the truffle oil make it our top choice.

Rigatoni Bolognese

For those with a heartier appetite, you may opt for one of the entrees on Apeiro’s lunch menu. A Prime Rib Gyro with tzatziki sauce and the Prime Steak Burger with smoked bacon sauce will certainly fulfill your carnivorous cravings, but the fresh made rigatoni, the gooey cheese and photography fun of eating the Rigatoni Bolognese may be too tempting to pass up.

Lunch will be served, starting on September 24, from 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. A la carte menu items range from $8 – $14. There is also a 10 for $10 section of the menu that includes your choice of soda, iced tea or coffee with your order.
