A Guide to Dining Out in Boynton Beach

When I think of destinations for dining, the last place that comes to mind is Boynton Beach, but the people in Boynton think otherwise — and it’s time for you to take a step inside. Since we’ve been spending a lot of time in Boynton lately, we thought that we’d provide you with a guide to dining in Boynton. So here you have it:

The Living Room, 1709 N Congress Ave, Boynton Beach; (561) 742-4399

When you’re looking for a comfortable setting to enjoy a glass of wine in, The Living Room is the place to go. The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall just across from Renaissance Commons and once you step inside, you’ll be planning for your next return. The interior is eclectic, seating is comfortable, they have live music and the restaurant is set into many ‘living rooms’ giving you privacy and making it easy to have a conversation. While other restaurants may be slower in the summer months, reservations are a must do — and if you’re on facebook like their page, as they often feature incredible specials.

The Little House, 480 E Ocean Ave, Boynton Beach

Whether you’re craving a mid-afternoon beer or a casual lunch, The Little House has become a favorite of many since they opened their doors earlier this summer. Housed in a historic cottage, The Little House features a simple menu created by Chef/Owner Chrissy Benoit (formerly of Havana Hideout). Our favorites include  the Indian Butter Chicken, Chicken Chinois Salad — and their stellar happy hour. They currently serve lunch and dinner and will soon launch a pajama brunch in late September.

Sweetwater Bar & Grill, 1507 S Federal Hwy, Boynton Beach

You’d never expect to find a place like Sweetwater Bar & Grill in Boynton — but we’re glad that owners Clint Reed and Sean Iglehart  took a chance on it . This speakeasy type bar features an extensive line-up of bourbon and gin — and their cocktail menu is one of the best in the area. We’re addicted to the Spice of Life . Sweetwater is the perfect place to enjoy late night cocktails. They serve dinner, as well.

Hurricane Alley, 529 E Ocean Ave, Boynton Beach

When you’re on the hunt for fresh fish, Hurricane Alley is your spot. The restaurant offers an extensive line-up of fresh seafood dishes. While owner, Kim Kelly, is busy at the restaurant, her husband is out at sea with his charter boat company. For those guests who like to work for their food, they can go out on the boat during the day, bring back the freshly caught fish and Prime Catch will prepare it for them.

Cake Garden & Tea, 1790 N Congress Ave, Ste 200, Boynton Beach; 561-736-8169

To satisfy your craving for a sweet something, take a trip to Cake Garden & Tea where Chef David Evans will spoil you with one of his delectable treats. Cake features a rotating line-up of pastries and both coffee and tea. You can enjoy your treats on the spot or take them with you. Cake also offers baking classes, tea service and catering services.
