Where to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

We’re kicking off the festivities early this week, as we visit Dos Caminos on Tuesday and Bistro Ten Zero One for a pre-Cinco de Mayo garden party on Wednesday — but that is just the beginning. Local restaurants have made it easy for you to take out your sombreros, slurp down a margarita or two and turn your night into something to remember. Here are some of our favorites:

Cantina Laredo, 4635 PGA Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens; 561-622-1223

It’s a party on the patio to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Cantino Laredo Modern Mexican in Palm Beach Gardens. Taking place from 5:00 p.m. until close, guests will enjoy a live DJ, promo servers, drink specials and a live cigar roller (the first 20 people will enjoy a complimentary cigar courtesy of Maya Cigars)

El Camino, 15 NE 2nd Ave, Delray Beach

Why limit your Cinco de Mayo celebration to just one day?! El Camino’s celebration goes from Sun., May 4th to Mon., May 5th. This includes beer, tequila and food specials all day long — and a live Mariachi band to liven up the scene.

Earls Kitchen + Bar at Dadeland Mall, 7535 Kendall Dr., Miami

Celebrate the 5th of May at Earls Kitchen + Bar with taco and margarita specials. Enjoy Los Cabos Chicken Tacos, Dominical Fish Tacos or a variety of margaritas using Espolon Blanco Tequila (on the rocks or frozen) for $4.50 each — and Corona sleeves for $3.

Huahua’s Taqueria, 1211 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach; (305) 534-TACO

It’s a fiesta at Huahua’s on Cinco de Mayo, complete with piñatas stocked with goodies, giveaways and an all day happy hour. Diners will enjoy $3 beers, from a selection of Mexican cervezas, $4 margaritas and $1 off any nachos combination. If tacos are what you crave, order any 3 tacos of the same kind for $10 or order them a la carte.

Lure Fishbar at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, 1600 Collins Ave, Miami Beach

Enjoy a week of taco and Avion tequila tastings at Lure Fishbar from May 1-8.  Sample pairings include a Sea Bass Taco ($15) with cherry tomato, mango, citrus and cilantro paired with a Sergeant at Arms ($9) with Avion Resposado, passion fruit, lime, honey, chili-coffee tincture and a mezcal rinsed glass; and a Salmon taco ($15) with avocado, ponzu and aji amarillo with a Chica Linda ($9) with Avion Silver, Pimms, lemon juice & grapefruit Jarritos.

Naked Taco at Dream South Beach, 1111 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; (305) 534-8455

It’s a 2-day celebration at Naked Taco, as they host their first Cinco de Mayo Espectacular. Taking place on May 4th and May 5th from noon until midnight, guests will enjoy live entertainment, street food, body painting, free tequila pineapple smash shots, drink specials and a live Mariachi band. Rocco’s Tacos with locations in Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale, Palm Beach Gardens and West Palm Beach

Known for his on-the-bar dancing skills and free flowing tequila, owner Rocco Mangel throws one of the biggest Cinco de Mayo celebrations in the area. Taking place at not one, but four of his Rocco’s Tacos locations, there’s a location that’s calling your name. These Cinco de Drinko fiestas start at noon and go until the group’s just had too much fun to go on — and include great drink specials, live entertainment, Pancho Villas mariachi bands, DJs, prize giveaways, free tequila pouring and more.

Since Rocco can’t be at all locations at the same time, you can always follow Rocco. Follow the Rocco’s Tacos Facebook and Twitter to track his location.
