Taste of the Nation Palm Beach 2015

When a team works together, magic happens and that’s exactly what happened at this year’s Taste of the Nation Palm Beach. Chef co-chairs Lindsay Autry (Bravo’s Top Chef alum and Founder, Fin and Feather); Zach Bell (Addison Reserve Country Club); Clay Conley (Buccan, Imoto and Buccan Sandwich Shop); and Tim Lipman (Coolinary Café) led the way and put together a fabulous team of the best in food and beverage in the Palm Beach area, who all dedicated their time and talent to help end childhood hunger.

From the moment you walked in, you knew you were in good hands, as you were handed a wine glass and were immediately surrounded by some of the top tastemakers in the Palm Beach area. Taking place at the Kravis Center, this year’s event included samplings from over 100 of the top names in food and drink in the community, a miniature golf course, a mystery wine bottle grab, a farmer’s market, a chef’s relay race — and a live and silent auction.

While we came home with a bottle of wine, some heirloom tomatoes and a weekend getaway, two lucky winners (yes, the top auction item was purchased by two different parties) secured a private dinner with the four chef co-chairs (Tim Lipman, Clay Conley, Lindsay Autry and Zach Bell) and wine pairings by Master Sommelier Virginia Philip, bringing in $24,000 (on the 2 dinners alone) to Taste of the Nation.

100% of the proceeds from Taste of the Nation Palm Beach benefit No Kid Hungry. While the numbers aren’t up quite yet for this year’s event, in 2014, Taste of the Nation Palm Beach raised more than $600,000, providing over 600,000 meals to children in need.
