Pizza Making at Cibo Wine Bar

Cibo Wine Bar

As a festival ambassador for the Las Olas Wine & Food Festival, we were able to partake in a private pizza making class Cibo Wine Bar in Fort Lauderdale. While we adore Cibo for their house made pasta, stellar service and outstanding wine list (and yes, their wine fairies), we quickly learned at this event that their pizzas should also be at the top of our list.

For this event, we met with the event organizers and fellow food bloggers; noshed on some charcuterie, which Cibo makes in-house; and sipped on wine from William Hill Winery.

With that, we were ready to begin. The event started off with a little instruction on how to make the perfect pizza — from preparing the dough to topping the pizza to making the perfect crust.

Here Vincenzo gives us tips on how to get the perfect crust.

Then it was our turn to make the perfect pie.

Tossing Pizza Dough
Fists up. Then toss and spin the dough. This is the perfect way to stretch out the dough and form a circular shape.

Pizza Preparation
Scoop out a ladle of sauce and place it in the center of the dough. In a circular motion, spread the sauce from the center out — and then add your fresh ingredients.

Once dressed to your liking, place the pizza in the oven, bake and within minutes this plate of cheesy goodness is now yours to be enjoyed.

While the pizza was a winner in itself, once the bucket of nutella was spotted, our minds were wandering in all directions. It was time for a sweet something.

Did someone say Nutella Pizza?

Nutella Pizza
Yes, food porn at it’s finest. Nutella pizza topped with slices of fresh bananas and strawberries, powdered sugar and fresh mint.

While these classes aren’t open to the public, you can still enjoy their pizzas, pastas and other Italian specialties every night of the week at their Fort Lauderdale, Coral Gables and South Beach locations. For more information on Cibo Wine Bar, visit cibowinebar.com.
