Deep Blu Serves Up a Menu of Succulent Seafood at Harbourside Place

What’s more exciting than the opening of Harbourside Place? The restaurants inside it, of course. While some familiar favorites like Burgerfi, Too Bizarre and Bravo! Cucina Italiano fulfill our everyday cravings, there’s one that stands out from the rest — Deep Blu Seafood Grille. This stunning, fine dining restaurant offers 5-star food and service, in a chic comfortable setting.  The menu, created by Chef de Cuisine Thomas Op’t Holt, is made up of beautiful cuts of meat, fresh seafood and and modern dishes, where chef adds a play on flavors and textures. You will find that not everything tastes like you would expect.

While we were impressed with the restaurant as a whole, here are our top five reasons for why you should visit Deep Blu Seafood Grill.

FIVE REASONS TO DINE AT DEEP BLUE SEAFOOD GRILLE

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

When dining at a new restaurant, your first bite is key. In many cases, it tends to be the bread basket. Will you find inside the common, I can get this anywhere type of bread or will it be warm and comforting? For Deep Blu, it goes beyond the normal and instead, guests’ first bite will be an amuse bouche, compliments of the chef. This special offering brings an added personal touch to the dining experience and makes you feel like a VIP.  On our visit, a deviled egg served with a crisp asparagus and savory hollandaise greeted us hello.

CREATIVE COCKTAILS

Start your meal off right with a creative cocktail at Deep Blu and dive into something delicious. Their menu of signature cocktails are well-balanced and refreshing. Opt for their signature, Blu Martini or sip on the Burnt Orange with a drizzle of grand marnier and get ready to play with fire.

CRAB CAKES

How many times have you heard a restaurant say that they have the best crab cake? Over and over again, I just couldn’t take them seriously, that is until now. Deep Blu’s crab cake is simple, uses high quality ingredients and let’s the fresh ingredients shine. The added touch of lemon drizzled on the top,  completes the taste experience and you’ll soon be planning your next visit.

A YOUNG, ENTHUSIASTIC CHEF

Chef de Cuisine Thomas O’pt Holt , a CIA grad, hails to Deep Blu from the midwest where he worked at Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises in Chicago. There, he supported the opening of Saranello’s under Chef Mychael Bonner. After building a strong foundation in Chicago, O’pt Holt now brings his talents to Jupiter.

He has so much passion and enthusiasm for what he does, that he radiates with good energy. His commitment to using local ingredients makes his dishes sing — and he yearns to add new life to the menu. Take for example the Vegan “Tuna” which was comprised of watermelon seared in liquid nitrogen with Japanese seaweed and sweet soy. At first glance, you could easily mistake it for tuna and this is just a sample of chef’s play on ingredients. This dish was added to the menu as a tribute to the late Homaro Cantu of Moto restaurant.

IMPECCABLE SERVICE

Deep Blu is the place to go when you want your every need to be catered to. From the moment we walked in and were seated at the table to the moment we left, the staff was incredible. Our waiter Bob was courteous, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable and the service is right on par with service that you’d get at Cafe Boulud or Four Seasons. Bob could throughly describe everything on the menu and his suggestions helped make our dinner a stellar experience.
