Benny’s on the Beach, It’s Not Just for Breakfast

Benny’s on the Beach — it’s a Lake Worth institution known for serving one of the best breakfasts in town, generous portions, cool cocktails — all in a relaxed, oceanfront setting. Last night, this hidden gem in Lake Worth made national headlines when Chef/Co-Owner Jeremy Hanlon (who you may remember from Cafe Boulud, My Fresh Chef or his time spent on Food Network’s Chopped) appeared on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay last night.

Since being on the Food Network is kind of a big deal — the team at Benny’s on the Beach hosted a viewing party and a seafood bake last night (yes, they’ll be serving dinner soon) — to cheer on Chef Jeremy and spoil everyone else with deliciousness. Great timing too, as they just kicked off their Thursday night seafood bake — which will take place weekly on Thursday nights starting at 5 p.m.

Seafood Bake

Being there, we got a preview of what will be on the menu .. and there’s going to be a little food porn action going on here. Atlantic Coast Clams and Shrimp, P.E.I. Mussels, Gulf Coast Snow Crab, Alaskan King Crab — and that’s only the Seafood Bake. Benny’s will also feature a Seafood Chowder, a variety of salads, a pasta of the day, fresh fish of the day — and even a burger to fulfill those carnivorous cravings.

For the show, well, we’re not going to spoil the surprise, as there’s still time to check it out. The next showing of Beat Bobby Flay’s episode By Land or By Sea will air on Sat., Dec. 20, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. on Food Network.

In addition to the Seafood Bake, Benny’s on the Beach will launch dinner service soon on the weekends. Visit their Facebook page for updates and more details.

Benny’s on the Beach is located at 10 S Ocean Boulevard in Lake Worth; (561) 582-9001
