There are two types of people in the food world right now — those who are glowing from their experience last weekend at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF) and still dreaming about that perfect bite they had and those who have been drooling over the pictures and kicking themselves for not attending. For those unable to attend, here’s a chance to bring the SOBEWFF home to you — in the form of a CAPTAIN MORGAN® cocktail.
As a newcomer to the festival, “Art of Tiki: A Cocktail Showdown” presented by The Captain Morgan Rum Company and hosted by Emeril Lagasse brought to Miami Beach a taste of the tropics. Top bartenders from Tiki-themed venues around the country competed to earn the title of Tiki King. Local favorite, Randy Perez from The Broken Shaker won the “People’s Choice Award” with his Paradise Found cocktail — and we just happened to snag the recipe for this fabulous cocktail.

.5 oz. Captain Morgan Coconut Rum
1 oz. Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum
.25 oz. St. Elizabeth All-Spice Dram
1.5 oz. Watermelon
.75 oz. Lime Juice
1 oz. Mint Syrup
1 dropper Bitterman’s Tiki Bitters
