Social Hour at Nitrogen Bar – Jupiter
Nitrogen Bar, in Palm Beach County’s coastal town of Jupiter, offers craft cocktails for $7 between the social hours of 5 PM to 7 PM. Cocktail connoisseurs will especially appreciate Nitrogen Bar’s award-winning mixologist David Bouchard spirit-forward creations.
Clear spirit drinkers have selections such as the Bee Sting -Citadelle gin mixed with honey, lemon, and sparkling yuzu sake, or No Soup For You -Zu Bison grass flavored vodka shaken with ginger-lemongrass chili simple, and Fever Tree ginger beer.
While dark liquor lovers can choose from Jupiter’s Redemption -Redemption rye stirred with Amaro (a bitter Italian liqueur), and Luxardo Maraschino cherry liqueur, or the Snap Dragon -Buffalo Trace bourbon mixed with lemon, ginger simple, and orange bitters.
Preferring a sweet and spicy concoction, myself, I relished Bouchard’s Musto Gucho –made with El Jimador Blanco tequila, yuzu syrup and fresh jalapeño rings, in a glass rimmed with Himalayan salt
Nitrogen Bar is also a superb Grill and Sushi restaurant helmed by the talented Chef Juan F Toledo and his open kitchen team. Chef Toledo has created a Small Bites menu ($7) for the bar, and his delectable prosciutto-wrapped tempura-fried asparagus with lemon aioli are must-haves.
Also recommended, from the dinner menu, are the Short Rib Sliders – three tender and savory Asian-style braised short ribs on pillowy-soft steamed buns with a delish soy glaze reduction.
If you are happier drinking lighter, enjoy the $6 wine by the glass menu, showcasing Seven Daughters, or $2 off regular priced bottled beers during the social hour.
