May Wine Events

This month, gather your family and friends together, and continue your celebration of food and wine.  There are many food & wine events (spirits, too) taking place from Miami to Palm Beach.  If your calendars fill up quickly, like ours, planning in advance is a must-do — and we’re here to help you get started.

Here’s a list of some noteworthy wine and food events that are worth checking out:

April 6: Mini Golf Happy Hour
Viceroy Miami at Fifty Miami

Meet up on the rooftop in FIFTY Ultra Lounge at Viceroy Miami for the city’s first mini-golf happy hour. Taking place from 5-10 p.m., guest will enjoy a game of putt putt, while sipping on specialty drinks and tacos, available at happy hour prices, from a COYO Taco pop-up. The event will be repeated on April 6, 15, 20 & 27. COYO Tacos will be available on April 6 + 15. Mini Golf is $10 a person.

May 6: Gnocchi Cooking Demonstration & Dinner
32 East, 32 E. Atlantic Ave, Delray

Get ready to get your hands dirty during 32 East’s upcoming cooking demonstration with Chef Nick Morfogen. Attendees will learn to make gnocchi with Chef Nick, then sit down for a 3-course dinner.

May 6: FJB Food & Wine Festival Kickoff Party
107 Dockside Cir, Jupiter

Dine for a cause! Join the Friends of Jupiter Beach for their Food & Wine Festival Kickoff Party at Too Bizaare. 10% of the sales will be donated to FJB. Enjoy raffles, music and more!

May 12: May Wine Dinner
Bistro 1001, 1001 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm
Cost: $50, plus tax and gratuity

Guests will gather for Bistro’s monthly wine pairing dinner on Thurs., May 12 featuring the cuisine of Executive Chef Christian Quiñones. The event will start with a sparkling reception at 7 p.m., followed by a seated 4-course dinner.

May 17: Wine & Spirits Dinner with vintner Aurelio Montes

Enjoy an exclusive wine pairing dinner prepared by BLT Prime Chef de Cuisine Dustin Ward and paired with wines from the vineyards of Montes Premium Wines. The event will kick-off with a cocktail reception, followed by a 5-course seated dinner.

May 18: Pappy Van Winkle Tasting

If bourbon is what you desire, then Salute Market’s monthly tasting is just the event for you. Starting at 6:30 p.m., guests will enjoy five bourbons from the famous Buffalo Trace Distillery, including the highly sought-after Pappy Van Winkle 10-Year Bourbon. To go with the bourbon, Chef Mario will provide perfectly paired BBQ samples — and each participant will take home a hand-blown signature “Nate Cotterman Cube Glass,” as featured in Food & Wine as a MUST HAVE for any scotch, bourbon or whiskey drinker. Only 18 seats are available.

May 26: Paul Hobbs Wine Dinner

Delight your senses at Adena Grill & Wine Bar on Thurs., May 26, as the restaurant hosts a 5-course wine dinner starting at 7 p.m. Enjoy creative courses from the chefs at Adena, all of which will be paired with Paul Hobbs Vintages. Tal from Paul Hobbs Winery will walk the group through the tasting.
