All Dressed in White at Diner en Blanc

Diner en Blanc

What happens when you gather 1200 people together, all dressed in white, who are ready to take on the night? It drizzles, it rains and downpours, of course, but none of that would stop one of the most anticipated events of the year — Diner en Blanc West Palm Beach — from taking place.

This secretive, sought-after event started off in Paris over 25 years ago. It was there that founder, Francis Pasquier hosted a dinner party at Bois de Boulogne with old friends. To recognize one another, the party guests were asked to dress in white and to bring a friend. It was with the success of that event that Le Diner en Blanc was born — and it has now spread to more than 60 cities in more than 25 countries, with West Palm Beach being the latest addition.

After word let out that Diner en Blanc was coming to West Palm Beach, it was all the rage. From how to score tickets (tickets are first released to those who have already attended a Diner en Blanc event, and then to those who have connections) to what to wear (it’s definitely a dress to impress event) to guessing the undisclosed location — and now, the time had come.

The secret location was revealed, and quickly (after a bit of delay) the Great Lawn in West Palm Beach was transformed into an exquisite setting for an elegant evening. With long white tables spanning the space, each beautifully decorated with stunning centerpieces, floral arrangements, glassware and more — and it was a spectacle to see. What was once an open space, was now a gathering of friends – new and old – who came together for an evening that will stay in their memories forever.
